Update - Basic features & Bug fixing
In my sleep-deprived rush to complete the game for the game jam it was entered into I forgot about some basic features and fixed some small bugs along the way. This post is mostly just for my own posterity. I'll probably not update this version of the game much more and instead go for a 'V2' version in a couple of months which will be closer to what an actual game would be as opposed to a prototype.
Added:
The game is now playable in browser on the games itch-page. Unfortunately the satisfying screen-shake is disabled in the HTML-version as it caused the VCR-filter to flash brightly every time the screen was shaking. The Windows build does not have this issue and works as intended.
The game can be played with an analog stick
Quick instructions screen before the game starts, just to brief players on the goal of the game and the controls. It looks boring but I just wanted to inform players with the least amount of effort.
Fixed:
A bug where you could go into negative fuel and still use the thrusters. Now you can't go into negative fuel as it stops at zero. You also can't use any thrusters at zero fuel.
The side-thrusters now give slightly more points as they are harder to hit things with. This was always intended but I just forgot.
The side-thrusters now can't go above the intended max speed. Previously they had no speed ceiling because I had the wrong logic in the code
